Ocular US

Vitreous haemorrhage

Orbital US demonstrating mildly echogenic material in the posterior chamber that swirls on eye movement and that is more mobile than retinal detachment.

Retinal detachment

Orbital US showing the detached retina as a highly echogenic membrane in the posterior chamber. Note that it is attached to the optic nerve posteriorly and the anterolateral orbit (ora serrata). There are also some features of vitreous haemorrhage present.
